Hi Ingi,
We are now safely back in London after a great holiday in Iceland. Whilst we did not achieve all that we had set out to do, due to bad weather conditions, it did not detract from our overall holiday experience. We would like to thank you for all of your hard work that was needed to change our schedule and accommodation for half of the planned journey. You live in a wonderful and picturesque country and we will certainly visit again with the help of TourIs.
One again, thank you.
Kind Regards

Just a thank you for arranging the wonderful Northern Lights Tour we took on November 23. Our trip started out badly with our own missed airline connections, but your operator Oli, thankfully, rescheduled all of our three tours and notified the hotel of our delay and set us up for success.
Hotel Fron, in the center of Reykjavik was a comfortable delight. We saw the Northern lights on the first try, and although more white than colorful, they danced for us for over an hour in the crisp, clear night sky.
With a fresh few inches of snowcover, the Golden Circle and Þingvellir National Park were Christmas card perfect, as were the views of Gullfoss falls. The Blue Lagoon trip was equally unforgettable, as we soaked in the relaxing warm water during another snowfall.
We can´t wait to return again in the summer. Great job all!
Thanks,
Judy and Rob

Ingi,
Regarding private TT17 to the south coast and the Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon 02. November.
Just wanted to send a note to say how absolutely wonderful our trip was today.
Please pass our thanks and good wishes on to our guide, Arni Magnusson. He really knows his stuff and we learned a lot. He went out of his way to make our day memorable.
Thank you so much for arranging this trip for us.

Dear Ingi
Just a quick note to thank you so much for having put together a wonderful tour of Iceland for us. We enjoyed every moment of it. We were blessed with wonderful weather which let us see sparkling fjords, amazing panoramic views, and even a sprinkling of fresh snow on the mountains one day to add to the magic. The accommodation was all unique and charming, and we were provided with amazing views at each room we stayed in. It would be impossible to pick a favorite area but the Western Fjords were particularly beautiful and isolated and peaceful.
Your service was excellent and everything was well organized from start to finish. Staying in Hotel Leifur Erickson on the first and last day was an excellent decision and the wonderful view of the city from the top of the church tower, on a beautifully clear sunny day is a memory that will last a very long time.
Takk fyrir - for arranging a wonderful tour that let us enjoy traveling around your most interesting and charming country and now having a tiny bit of understanding and appreciation for the Icelandic culture.
Cheers

In late July and early August we traveled with 4 friends around your lovely island country. The accommodations were great and the cars comfortable. Thank you for everything that you arranged. There were two places that were our favorites.
The Godaland Guest House in Fljotshild was especially nice because the lady and gentleman spent hours with us talking to us about Iceland. They also answered all of our questions about what we might find and what we could expect as we traveled around the island. The breakfast was especially delicious too.
Near the end of our visit we stayed with an older lady, a retired farmer, Borgarnes Bed and Breakfast. Her house was amazing as was the breakfast that she single-handedly prepared for all of the guests! She also was happy to talk with us about so many things that we had seen and enjoyed. We had many questions about the farming on the island and she being quite an authority was delighted to help us understand the farming in Iceland.
Although all of our accommodations were fine, the two we mentioned were by far our favorites for many reasons.
Thank you again,
Tom & Mary Lingenfelter

Ingi,
I just wanted to let you know that we had a FANTASTIC trip. We can't believe how much we saw and did in just five days. Everything went so smoothly. THANK YOU for accommodating all our last minute changes. I have already recommended TOUR.IS to a colleague who is planning a trip to Iceland!

Dear Ingi & Eyrún:
We have left Iceland and now on the way back home. This is to express our gratefulness for all you had done for our trip. Your considerate and professional arrangement made our trip a pleasant and effective one! Every piece of the memory for the beautiful country is so impressive and will be unforgettable! We wish we could come to Iceland again and try adventure trip in near future.
We are Chinese staying in U.A.E. for 20 years. We do wish to see you some day in Dubai - quite another kind of culture. Whenever you plan to travel to Dubai, you will be our most welcomed guest!
Thank you very much again and all the best to you!!!

Ingi,
What a magical experience this has been. Thank you so much for not cancelling the Mt. Highlights... and of course having only two was terrific. Anna Lara is a wonder. So much information (with an intuitive sense for when enough is enough.) More than that, her enthusiasm, infectious sense of humor and warm personality made every day a joyous event. I have never laughed so much in a foreign language.
For over 40+ years I have traveled and hiked all over the world, and I have to say that Iceland has moved right near the top of my list. I'll be back --- and will encourage many like-minded travelers to come as well. All in all, it was more than I ever could have expected, and I know too well the pitfalls of high expectations.
Once again thank you and your wonderful organization. 6 stars.

Dear Friends,
Having been south and east recently we decided it is time to go northwest and so we visited Iceland, the land of fire and ice.
As we didn't have much time and also started fairly late with our planning we finally decided to book a self-drive trip leaving it for the experts to choose which are the most interesting places to visit on a first trip to this isolated country. And it was a good choice. We drove 2,000km on this so called "Real 4x4 Highland and Lowland Adventure" that covers some of the most interesting and scenic highlands of Iceland, the Kjölur highland trail between the glaciers Langjökull and Hofsjökull, Herðubreiðarlindir, Askja, Europe’s largest waterfall Dettifoss and more, - only accessible by four wheel drive. The tour also includes the famous Mývatn area, the waterfall Gullfoss, the Geysir hot spring area, Hveravellir and the great canyon of the Jökulsá river. Finally other numerous interesting sights on the South shore, the famous Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, the Skaftafell National Park, Vatnajökull glacier, flood plains, which were so 'floody' that the bridge got swept away and trucks organized the crossing, and of course the infamous Eyjafjallajökull. It could have included the famous Blue Lagoon, which we decided not to visit after having seen so much beautiful and interesting sights before.
Without going into many details, it was incredible. We saw lovely green hills full of colourful flowers, huge naked mountains shaped by the ice age, barren deserts covered with volcanic stones and craters, steaming hot pools and mud holes on every corner, majestic glaciers wrapped over whole mountain ranges and jumping humpback whales. The landscape and nature is so diverse and interesting that it was no problem driving further and further, as behind every corner new wonderful secrets were discovered. This was even more beautiful as we were lucky to have 24h sunshine every day, except for one rainy day and an afternoon when we were caught in a volcanic ash cloud. Not of an actual eruption but the remains of recent larger eruptions that still cover the area and glaciers, as you will see on the pictures.
Also the capitol Reykjavik was well worth the stay, a really nice and pleasant place to relax and hang out, and the lobster soup in the small restaurant in the old harbour was just excellent. And friendly folks that enjoyed the 24h daylight that time of the year rounded it all up.
It was another great trip to a fantastic country, which on some places really looks like out of this world, with amazing nature so close to home, at least for us Europeans, that we can only recommend going there.
Special thanks also to the guys from Touris ("http://www.tour.is/") who made all this possible and arranged an unforgettable trip. And thanks again for changing the accommodation the last night; Hotel Fron right in the centre of Reykjavik was superb.

Dear Ingi
I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed our week in Iceland. I think we were quite lucky with the weather but everything else was down to the brilliant itinerary you had arranged for us.
The Snaesfellnes peninsula and the Western fjords absolutely did not disaappoint. Whatever we were expecting (and after all we had been to Iceland before) what we found was even better. The scale and wildness of the landscape and the lack of population (and tourists) make it very special destination. Fleur really enjoyed driving the little 4-wheel drive car on the gravel roads.
The birds, the seals, the wildflowers, the 24 hours of daylight and the waterfalls.............
We did not go to Latraberg on the Tuesday as you had suggested, but went on Wednesday morning which was wonderfully still, and there were hardly any other visitors. Walking back down I spotted a black shape on the other side of the shallow valley next to the cliff and so for the next 30 minutes we sat on the grass and watched an Arctic fox (and then his mate). We'll never have that privilege again. It was a real gift to us.
Beds were comfortable and the food was good. What more can you ask?
We are thinking of returning next summer to do Route 1 round the island, and as we get on in our plans we will contact you.
Thank you so very much for giving us a taste of how wonderful Iceland is in the summer.
Best wishes
Mary and Fleur

Dear Ingi,
This is a note to thank you for the help you gave us in our booking of the wonderful tour “Across the Wilderness” as well as the additional nights booked in Reykjavik. It all worked out very well and we enjoyed the tour immensely, despite the change in the highland route.
Equal to our enjoyment of the amazing Icelandic landscape that the tour took us through, was the pleasure provided by our guide, Ari. He was more than excellent in all parts of the job. He taught us about Iceland’s natural wonders, history, culture in a most entertaining way. So kudos to Ari, guide, driver and raconteur extraordinaire; the trip would not have been as memorable without him.

I just wanted to send a note to say thank you for putting together an amazing trip for us. You did a wonderful job putting together our accommodations and we especially like the couple at Guesthouse Heimagisting in Stykkishólmur. They were wonderful!
Thank you again and we will definitely be back

We have completed our trip to Iceland and it was wonderful. Everything was very efficient and well planned, thank you for doing a great job! We had generally good weather and took many photos. The Super Jeep tour was very nice, better even than expected. We had good puffin viewing out on the very western point of Iceland (and Europe)! I enclose a typical puffin picture for your enjoyment, taken shortly before the midnight sunset.

Dear Ingi,
We want to say Takk to you for arranging our wonderful trip to your country. We enjoyed all that we experienced; the warm people, the local foods, the spectacular landscapes. We did struggle with sleeping in the bright nighttime and were a little nervous with the steep mountain roads and tunnels north of Skagafjorour. The many local history and culture museums were well organized and informative. The many guesthouses and hotel Fron were inviting and the rooms comfortable. We took hundreds of photographs and will each have memories to last a lifetime. My 19 year old son enjoyed the icebergs of Jokulsarlon, and my 21 year old daughter- who wants to become a veterinarian – tried puffin, ox, reindeer, and horse for the first time.
Your directions were very good, although we did get confused finding Hraunfosser and Barnafosser. Thank you for helping us plan and arrange our Icelandic trip of a lifetime. We hope that warmer summer weather will arrive in Iceland soon
Regards and takk,
Dorothy Feldman

He was absolutely outstanding as a guide.
Hope you have a great summer, and thanks again.

Dear TourIs staff,
We just returned home from our 9 day circle tour (BP07) and we both want
to let you know how fabulous the entire experience was!
TourIs is wonderful! Things couldn't have gone smoother and easier for
us and we appreciate all the time and effort that obviously goes into each tour!
We especially loved the accommodations! Every place we stayed was
conveniently located, clean and comfortable. We appreciated being sent on
our way after such lovely breakfasts at each place, too.
Hotel Floki was walking distance to everything and Hotel Vellir couldn't have
been better. (We opted to have dinner there and Sigruborg's trout was
one of the best meals of the trip!) Their riding tour took us along a
deserted black sand beach and we were impressed and touched by what
good care they take of their horses and what a good relationship they
have with each pony. The hotel was immaculately clean, too.
Hotel Ludent created such a lovely atmosphere and we spent time with
other travelers/guests. And could Guesthous Mikligarthur be any cuter??
But we especially loved Guesthouse Galleri with the beautifully decorated
rooms and the spa bathroom. (We actually did the bulk of our shopping in
Pury and Joel's shop of handcrafted items!)
The suggested activities and sites listed in the tour's itinerary were
terrific, too. We especially enjoyed the stops at Dimmuborgir, Kerith and Flaxi -
not places we were planning to visit, but so glad you recommended them.
We loved every aspect of our visit to Iceland and credit TourIs
with much of our positive experience. The transfers to and from the airport,
the rental car (really enjoyed the loan of and info in the road atlas!), the itinerary
and the accommodations were well-thought out, organized beautifully
and we didn't have to worry about anything except trying to enjoy as much
of the beautiful country as possible!
We've already recommended TourIs to 3 of our friends!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our vacation something
special and spectacular! Your staff does a wonderful work!
Regards,
Bruce and Sue Derenski

Hello Ingi,
I want you to know how much I appreciate all you have done for us. You did a wonderful job planning our trip, the directions were perfect and the guest houses were all very nice. I don't know if TourIS is your business or if you work for someone, but I hope you do work for someone, you let them know how happy we are with you as our tour agent.
Thank you,

Hi,
It want to give you some some feedback on this tour you arranged (The Golden Circle Classic).
All 8 of us thouroughly enjoyed this tour and i can say it is probably the best tour i have ever been on, and i think everyone else in our party agreed. Along with the stunning sites, Arni our tour guide was absolutely brilliant. He made the trips between the sites enjoyable, eduacational and really helped us understand some of the natural sites we saw and the history of Iceland.
Thank you for a great tour and for making our weekend. If you could also send our thanks to Arni that would be great.
I have already recommended Iceland and this tour to friends and family.
Thanks again

Hi,
We have just returned to Australia after a three month trip around europe where the Across The Wilderness tour was the starting point so apologies for taking so long to give you this feedback. However, I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed your magical country. It was also enhanced by having Ari as the driver and tour guide. We left with a feeling of having seen a lot but knowing there is so much more to see. Hopefully we can return one day to see more of the country but it's a long way over from Australia.
Many Thanks

Dear Ingi, thank you for your help in the past two weeks - the Icelandic tour
was a delight, everything went well. I returned the car today without incident
with all tires and windows intact - I was luckier than some other people
returning their cars today.
What a beautiful country you live in!!! I greatly enjoyed my stay. In
particular, I enjoyed the farm stays - what a novel idea (we don't have this in
Canada) and what lovely places. As for places, the drive between Hofn and Vik
will always have a special place in my heart. It is so beautiful! I think I took
over 500 pictures that day.
I will definitely recommend the tour, and your agency, to my friends in Vancouver !
Thank you again - Vida Morkunas.

Hi Ingi,
Now that we are back in the US and had a chance to catch our breath, we wanted to thank you very much for making our trip so perfect. You created the best itinerary for what we wanted to do, as well as seeing most of the highlights of Iceland, that with your expertise, thoughtfulness, and effort, we had the most wonderful trip. All the Icelanders we met were very gracious and we were able to make contact with relatives, take pictures of farms or remains of farms where my family had lived, and follow the trails of their lives. We were received and treated like family wherever we went and felt right at home. You had arranged very nice accommodations that were situated in the exact places we wanted to be. I had told you I was 6'4'' tall and wanted to be sure the single beds were not too short, and everywhere we stayed, they were surprised I was not taller, so you definitely had them prepared, and the beds were wonderful. Again Ingi, we couldn't have been luckier to have made contact, on the internet, with the right person for the job, and we would be glad to pass that along to anyone interested. Have a great season and we definitely will be in touch for our next adventure to Iceland.

Hi Ingi,
I have just returned home after visitng your wonderful country and would like to thank you for making our holiday flow so smoothly. I appreciated your suggested itinerary with extra sights to see, and the documentation you provided. Thank you highlighting the map which made it so easy to follow. Accommodation was very good and we appreciated the variety of hotels and guest houses. Best of all was the road atlas which gave us heaps of information on the places we passed. I travelled a long way from Australia to visit Iceland, but it was worth every hour sitting on a long haul flight. Thank you once again.

Jonas,
We booked one of your self-drive tours when we visited your country in May. I wanted to let you know that I was just interviewed on a podcast called "The Amateur Traveler" and I talked about your company several times during the discussion.
You might want to take time to listen and look at the pictures.

I'm not sure whether we have contacted you since our vacation ended. I wanted to let you know that not only did we fall in love with Iceland, but your itinerary was just right. We packed so much into the days.it's great when the sun never really sets and yet we didn't tire until our heads hit the pillows. I'm not sure which highlight ranks on top there were so many from seeing Blue Whales, to eating lobster, to seeing Foss after Foss after Foss, to driving to a national park after dinner and arriving at 10pm, to the incredible glaciers, to the sheep, Icelandic horses (we stopped at a barn for an exhibit), to the beautiful Icelandic people who were so warm. The country-side provided natural wonders around every corner and for the most part we were able to enjoy the moments without crowds. This meant disappointment at the crowds visiting the major tourist attractions we now realize that these places should be visited late in the evening when everyone is gone. My wife took 12 rolls of films, yes she still uses a manual camera.

Dear Ingi,
Just a note to let you know we are back in England under a heat wave - 26 degrees today and increasing!
We really did appreciate our 3 days with you. I have written to Gudjon saying that we have seen and done some really great things on this holiday, and want to thank you again for your help, friendliness, and part that you played in that. We have a couple of pictures of the Nissan and yourself as a real good memory of our time. When we plan to come again and see a bit more of the country, we will give you a call.
With our kind regards.

Of course what I meant is that we had such a great time that we want to hear everything that you could possibly wish to share about the future endeavors of Super Jeep Safari Glacier Tours. Hello Ingi Jon Sverrisson
I just wanted to thank you for the tour you gave us last week (Tuesday 7th October, 2003). To see such things, and to be shown them by an Icelander, was definitely the highlight of our week's stay in Reykjavik. We have already decided that we will come back, so that we can hopefully see the Northern lights, and to go onto a glacier and also hopefully have a dog sled ride. When we do, we will make sure that we contact you before we come, to ensure that we come at the best possible time and that you might be available to take us where we want to go!
Thank you once again
