In one afternoon, this popular excursion enables travelers to visit some of Iceland’s most famous sites : Thingvellir National Park, Almanngjá gorge, Geysir hot spring area and Gullfoss waterfall
We visit Þingvellir National Park (English: Thingvellir), a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the Icelandic parliament, Alþingi, was established in the year 930 AD.
Thingvellir National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in the year 2004 and is now one of about eight hundred places in the world that have been honored by UNESCO.
From Þingvellir, we continue to the imperial Gullfoss waterfall and the Great Geysir hot spring area with spouting springs Geysir and Strokkur.
Although this trip is an "express" tour, you will visit some of the very best historical sites and natural phenomena that Iceland has to offer.
