As the name indicates, this trip is an extended version of the ATV tour Mountain Safari with an extra mountain top added to the mix. A bit more technical. This is definitely a more complete experience, combining gravel roads, Icelandic mountain tracks, rocky paths and steep ascent.
We will start the day by picking you up the at your hotel and take you to our base camp. At the base camp we will to go over safety instructions and teach you how to operate the bike. Once everyone is geared up and ready to go we start the ride on a asphalt road for a short while and then turn into a gravel road along beautiful lake Hafravatn before heading up a technical mountain trail to the top of Hafrafell. Once you stand there, you get to enjoy the great view over the whole Reykjavik area and the surrounding mountain range.
After this first hour you will get more confident driving the ATV and we can head safely to a mountain called Ulfarsfell where the view over Reykjavik, the bay area and Reykjanes Peninsula is even more stunning. On a clear day you will even be able to see Snaefellsjökull glacier, hundreds of kilometres away. Twin Peaks is an excellent choice for those who want more than just an introduction tour to the quads.
Ride off the beaten paths in the outback of Reykjavik and experience the panoramic view over the city and the bay area from the peak of mountain Hafrafell & Ulfarsfell. A complete Iceland off-road experience. After the tour we have some hot coffee and will drive you back to the hotel.
