Discover the incredible highlands of Iceland on this 3-day trekking tour of Landmannalaugar. Landmannalaugar is a magical place in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve in the Highlands of Iceland. Known for the vibrant colors of its silica-rich igneous volcanic rock mountains and lava fields, this destination is home to the most perfect hiking trails. We will hike to some of the most interesting places around Landmannalaugar, like Frostastadavatn Lake, the ill-named Ljótipollur (Ugly Puddle) and Brennisteinsalda covered in steaming vents and sulfur deposits. We will also have the chance to climb on Suðuhámur (920 m above sea level), a mountain rich in liparit mineral while going through Vondugil Canyon. On the top of Bláhnúkur we will be able to enjoy an amazing view over Landmannalaugar´s geothermal area. After spending time hiking, our idea of a perfect cure includes a relaxing bath in the steaming area of a natural pool nearby.
