Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Keflavík airport


Meet and greet at Keflavík airport and a transfer to Reykjavík. The rest of the day is free to explore Reykjavik. Downtown Reykjavík offers excellent restaurants, cafés, bars and clubs.

Day 2: The South Shore


Pick up from your hotel in the morning for a guided tour of the beautiful South Shore. Visit Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. From Skógar we will take you to Mýrdalsjökull glacier, where you can enjoy an optional snowmobile ride (optional). Experience the stunning black volcanic sand beach and see Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar rock formations.

Day 3: The Southern Highlights


Today we travel the so called Golden Circle and see some of the most popular attractions in Iceland. Visit the beautiful Thingvellir National Park, a unique place from a geological point of view and the most historical place in Iceland, besides being a place of exceptional beauty. Continue from the National Park to the Geysir hot spring area to see the famous Great Geysir and Strokkur, an active geyser that spouts every few minutes, as well as numerous other hot springs. Close to Geysir see the waterfall Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, one of Icelands largest and most beautiful waterfall. From Gullfoss we continue to the waterfall Faxi. Then to the South Coast and back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Reykjanes peninsula Krýsuvík and the Blue Lagoon


Today you will go for a trip to the Blue Lagoon, situated in the middle of a black lava field rich in silica and blue-green algae, which gives the lagoon its reputed healing powers. Stop to soak in the refreshing and healing waters of the lagoon and have a last wonderful taste of Iceland, that ensures that you will be fully relaxed when you take off from Keflavik airport.

Double rooms at most Icelandic hotels are twin rooms with two single beds. In most cases the two single beds can be put together to make a double bed. However this varies from one hotel / guesthouse to another.
Triple rooms are in most cases double rooms with an extra bed and therefore floor space may be limited when an extra bed has been added.
